Game Day: Oilers vs Avalanche **UPDATE**

Edmonton (12-8-2) vs Colorado (9-12-1)

Time:      5:00pm
Where:   Pepsi Center
Watch:    CBC
Listen:    630 Ched

Projected Line Combinations

Eberle - Nugent-Hopkins - Smyth
Hemsky - Horcoff - Hall
Gagner - Belanger -Jones
Paajarvi -Lander - Hordichuk

**UPDATE**
The coaching staff have decided to reward Darcy Hordichuk for his efforts yesterday in Minnesota, which means Ben Eager and Lennart Petrell will be in the press box. If Hordichuk does not get a regular shift with the two Swedes, look for one of Jordan Eberle or Taylor Hall to be double shifted, which good be a very good thing for both Lander and Pajaarvi.
**UPDATE**

You would think that Magnus Paajarvi and Ben Eager would get back into the lineup against the Avs but don't be surprised if Eager sits again, in favour of Darcy Hordichuk. The Oilers tough guy was great against the Wild and probably has earned another start assignment but don't bet on it being against Colorado. Don't be surprised to see the four wingers keep rotating spots, over the next few games.

Defence Pairings

Gilbert - Smid
Whitney - Petry
Teubert - Peckham

**UPDATE**
The Oilers recalled defenceman Alex Plante, due to Jeff Petry feeling under the weather. They haven't confirmed Petry as being out for tonight's game but Plante was brought back up as insurance. I guess they learned their lesson after they were forced to dress an injured Andy Sutton against the Senators because they had no one else available. Honestly, they should have someone up in that number seven role until Sutton or Corey Potter are ready to return.
**UPDATE**

The addition of Ryan Whitney back into the clubs starting six, make things look a lot better and until more of the wounded return, these pairings will remain intact. With Whitney back, the club reassigned defenceman Alex Plante back to Oklahoma City on Friday afternoon.

Netminder

Devan Dubnyk

After another strong performance from Nikolai Khabibulin, the Oilers will look to Devan Dubnyk to keep the ball rolling. Dubnyk was very good in his last start against Nashville on Tuesday and Edmonton will be expecting nothing less from the talented netminder. If Devan wants to continue seeing regular playing time, he must have another strong performance because Khabby doesn't seem to be slowing down.
